System Requirements

Last updated: June 2026

This page lists the minimum hardware and software you need to access (view), sign, and retain (download, save, and print) the electronic records Plutosign provides, and how long signed records remain available. It is the page referenced in Plutosign's Electronic Records Consent Disclosure. These requirements are subject to change; the current version is always the one published here.

1. Internet connection and device

  • A device with an active internet connection.
  • A screen capable of displaying a document at a legible size (documents are typically formatted to U.S. Letter or A4).

2. Supported web browsers

A current, standards-compliant web browser that supports the HTTPS protocol, HTML, and cookies, with cookies enabled. We support the two most recent major versions of:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari

Older browser versions may work but are not guaranteed to display or let you retain records correctly. JavaScript and cookies must be enabled.

3. Viewing and printing documents

Software capable of viewing and printing PDF files, such as a current PDF reader. Most modern browsers and operating systems include this capability.

4. Email

A valid email account capable of receiving messages from Plutosign's and the sender's sending domains, and the ability to access that account. Records and notices are sent to the email address associated with your signing request, so it is important to keep that address current.

5. Retaining your records

To keep a copy of your records for future reference, you need:

  • Local storage on your device (or other media) sufficient to save the records, or
  • A connected printer to print them.

During the signing session, and immediately afterward, you can download, save, and print each record directly from the Plutosign signing page at no charge.

6. How long records remain available

Plutosign retains the signed document, the Certificate of Completion, and the associated audit information in a form that accurately reflects the record and remains accessible for later reference for at least seven (7) years after completion, unless the sender of the document directs a longer retention period. If you maintain a Plutosign account, you can access these records online during that period. You can also save your own copy at signing time (see Section 5), which you may keep indefinitely.

7. Changes to these requirements

Plutosign may update these minimum system requirements from time to time. If a change creates a material risk that you cannot access or retain records you have a right to receive, Plutosign will provide you with a statement of the revised requirements and the right to withdraw your consent to electronic records without any fee, and without any condition or consequence that was not disclosed to you when you first consented.
