Document collaboration

Agree on the terms — with your team, then your client.

Review the draft with your team first. Then share it with your client for comments and redlines. Everyone works on the same document, and the version your client signs is the version you agreed.

No credit card required. Start with a ready-to-edit proposal, or try signing without an account.

Team collaboration

Get the scope, pricing and terms right inside your agency before the client sees them.

  • Threaded comments

Comment on any part of the draft. Reply in a thread and resolve each point when it is done.

  • @mentions

Mention a teammate to bring them into the discussion. They get a notification with a link to the comment.

  • Tracked suggestions

Switch to suggesting mode to propose changes. The document owner accepts or rejects each change.

  • Approval before send

Add required internal approvers. The document cannot go to your client until they approve it.

  • Roles and shared templates

Owner, admin and member roles. Your team works from the same templates and document records.

  • See who is in the document

Avatars show which teammates have the document open, so you know when to wait for a save.

Client collaboration

Bring your client into the same document. Their feedback lands next to the text it is about, not in an email thread.

  • A separate client lane

Clients comment in their own lane. They never see your team's internal comments.

  • Client redlines

Add your client as a reviewer to let them edit directly. Their changes come back to you as tracked suggestions to accept or reject.

  • Roles for everyone on the deal

Add signers, approvers, viewers and people on CC. Set the signing order, or let a group sign in any order.

  • No account, no seat

Clients review, comment and sign in the browser. They do not need an account or a paid seat.

How editing works

Take turns to edit a draft. Everyone works from the latest saved version. If someone saved a newer version while you were editing, Plutosign warns you before your save replaces it. Live co-editing, with several people typing at the same time, is not available.

When the terms are agreed, send the document for signature. Comments and suggestions stay out of the signed PDF; the audit trail records who viewed and signed it. See how signing evidence works.
